Alan Bersten was born on May 26, 1994, in Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA. He began dancing at age 7, training in contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, Bollywood, and Broadway styles. Bersten gained national recognition as a contestant on Season 10 of So You Think You Can Dance, finishing in the Top 6. He joined Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) as a troupe member in Season 20 and became a professional partner in Season 25. Bersten won DWTS Season 28 with celebrity partner Hannah Brown and also secured a victory on Dancing with the Stars: Juniors in 2018.
