Raised in Bengaluru, she is the daughter of renowned badminton player Prakash Padukone. Initially a successful model, she made her Bollywood debut in Om Shanti Om (2007) opposite Shah Rukh Khan, which established her as a rising star. Personal Life
Deepika Padukone was born to Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone, growing up in Bengaluru with strong sports influence, as she was a national-level badminton player before turning to modeling. She openly battled depression and launched the Live Love Laugh Foundation in 2015 to support mental health awareness. Deepika married fellow Bollywood star Ranveer Singh on 14 November 2018 in a lavish ceremony in Lake Como, Italy. The couple, fondly called “DeepVeer,” is among Bollywood’s most admired. She maintains a private yet inspirational personal life, balancing stardom with philanthropy, fashion, and wellness. In 2024, she and Ranveer announced they are expecting their first child.
