Fenil Umrigar was born on 14 January (sources vary between 1991–1993) in Surat, Gujarat, India. Raised in a middle‑class Parsi‑Gujarati household, she grew up with interests in arts, dancing and performance. Early on she considered teaching, but her passion for acting and modeling led her to move toward the entertainment industry. Her modest upbringing and early exposure to arts shaped her grounded outlook and prepared her for a diverse career in television and media.

Career Life
Fenil made her acting debut in 2010 with the TV serial Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak?. Over the years she acted in many popular Hindi television series: she rose to prominence as Sanjana “Sanju” Roy in Best Friends Forever? (2012–2013). She played notable roles such as Pihu Kapoor in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, and later portrayed characters in shows like Kaala Teeka, Yam Hain Hum, and Rajaa Betaa. In 2022–23 she appeared as Sonam Goyal in Saavi Ki Savaari, showing her adaptability across genres. Alongside TV, she has done episodic roles, modelling, and music‑video appearances — establishing a steady presence in Indian television and media.

Personal Life
As of October 21, 2024, Fenil Umrigar married her long‑time friend, athlete/businessman Gurpartap Dhaliwal, in an intimate ceremony. Before marriage, she maintained privacy about her relationships. Raised in Surat in a Parsi‑Gujarati family, she maintains close family ties. Outside acting, Fenil enjoys hobbies like dancing, singing, and playing badminton.
