Manish Dayal was born as Manish Sudhir Patel on June 17, 1983, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, to Gujarati Indian parents, Hema and Sudhir Patel. He has three sisters, including Neisha Patel, a vascular neurology fellow at Columbia University Medical Center. Dayal attended Marshall Elementary School and later Heathwood Hall in Columbia, South Carolina. He earned a degree in International Business from George Washington University. After graduating in 2005, he moved to New York City to pursue acting and later relocated to Los Angeles.
Career Life
Manish Dayal began his acting career in 2005 with a short film titled "Time and the Hour Run". He gained recognition for his role as Raj Kher in the CW series 90210 (2011–2012). Dayal starred as Hassan Kadam in the film The Hundred-Foot Journey (2014) and portrayed Jeet Kumar in Viceroy's House (2017). From 2018 to 2023, he was part of the main cast in the Fox medical drama series The Resident. Dayal has also appeared in various television shows and films, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
Personal Life
Manish Dayal is married to Snehal Patel, an Indian-Canadian woman, since 2015. The couple reportedly met years before tying the knot in a traditional Indian ceremony in Toronto. They have two children together. Dayal is known for his devotion to family and often shares insights into his personal life on social media platforms. He describes himself as "a devoted father, a damn good friend, a love spreader," emphasizing the importance of legacy and the impact one has on others.
