Mohit Raina was born on August 14, 1982, in Jammu, India, into a Kashmiri Pandit family. He completed his education at Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Jammu, and earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Jammu. Before entering the entertainment industry, Mohit worked in modeling and participated in the 2005 Grasim Mister India contest, where he was placed among the top five contestants. He later moved to Mumbai to pursue acting, debuting in the science fiction show Antariksh in 2004. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Lord Shiva in the television series Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev.
Career Life
Mohit Raina began his acting career with the science fiction TV show Antariksh in 2004. He then appeared in films like Don Muthu Swami (2008) and Chehra (2009), and TV series such as Bandini (2009). His breakthrough came with the role of Lord Shiva in the popular series Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev, where he portrayed over 30 different characters. He also played historical roles, including Emperor Akbar in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat. Mohit has ventured into films and OTT platforms, starring in projects like 21 Sarfarosh – Saragarhi 1897, Uri: The Surgical Strike, and the web series The Freelancer.
Personal Life
Mohit Raina married his longtime girlfriend, Aditi Chandra, in an intimate ceremony in January 2022. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, on March 16, 2023. Mohit has expressed that fatherhood has brought a positive change in his life, describing how his day now starts and ends with his baby girl. While he is active on social media, he prefers to keep his personal life private, sharing only glimpses of his family moments.
