• Yelled at a Talk Show Host
Rani kept her relationship with Aditya Chopra secret for many years, when the TV host Simi Garewal asked about it in one of her TV shows, Rani yelled at her. Rani said,
"There's a lot I know about you too, which of course you wouldn't want me to bring up."
Later, Rani asked to delete that part from the interview. She was criticised for her arrogant behaviour.
• Trolled for Her Comment
In 2018, in an interview, when she was asked about #MeToo movement, she said that girls need to learn martial arts for self defense. She received negative trolling on social media for her comment as instead of criticising the culprit men she gave suggestions to girls. Even a few other Indian actresses did not like her comment.
