Tanvi Thakkar was born on September 8, 1985, in Chennai, India. She completed her schooling at Lawrence School, Lovedale, and pursued her undergraduate studies at M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women in Tamil Nadu. Initially, she faced challenges in the Hindi film industry due to her limited proficiency in the language. Determined to succeed, she learned Hindi by watching films and practicing diligently. Her perseverance paid off, leading to a successful acting career in Indian television. She is married to actor Aditya Kapadia, and they welcomed their first child in June 2023.

Career Life
Tanvi Thakkar began her acting career in 2008 with the television series Miley Jab Hum Tum, portraying the character Ishika. She gained popularity with roles in shows like Yeh Ishq Haaye, Sarvggun Sampanna, and Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani. Her performance as Sharmila Dhyaan Kant in Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant (2016) was widely appreciated. She also featured in the film Hacked (2020) and participated in various episodic television series. Known for her versatility, Tanvi has been part of over 20 television shows, showcasing her adaptability in diverse roles.

Personal Life
Tanvi Thakkar hails from a Gujarati family in Chennai, India. Before venturing into acting, she completed her education in Ooty and Chennai. In 2013, she got engaged to her co-star Aditya Kapadia from the show Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum. They married on February 16, 2021, in a court ceremony. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on June 19, 2023 . Tanvi is also passionate about animals and has two pet dogs. She aspires to venture into direction in the future
